Reporters on Twitter - What’s in it for Them?

If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that there is a fine line between social media/Web 2.0 for personal and professional use.  However, in the days of convergence and transparency, this line continues to blur.  In hopes of protecting their corporate image, many companies have implemented social media policies - among these companies is The Washington Post.

In his recent article, “Why Reporters Should Twitter (A Little Shop Talk),” Rob Pegoraro voices his opinion on the subject, including the problems and implications with news media implementing policies that seemingly lack transparency, and more importantly, what he strives to achieve by Tweeting.
